ABOUT 

Jane Spakowsky (AKA grittyjane) was born and raised in the artistic culture of Vashon Island in The Pacific Northwest. Currently she is a full-time artist residing in Bremerton, WA. 

Jane is widely known for her mixed media paintings and eclectic art dolls. She has a stylized palette unique to her work. Her subject matter, mostly portraits of women, convey deep emotion often reading like a diary hinting at many aspects of her own life. Her art speaks to the viewer via subject, composition, and straight-up soul that goes into each piece. It is no wonder that so many people are touched by Jane Spakowsky’s artwork and it continues to be highly sought after.
